Abstract

Prayer is one of the most glorious divine duties. One of the essentials for the correct and complete implementation of this divine order is the timely invitation of the obligees, especially the children and teenagers. Although it is not correct to prescribe one prescription for all obligees, but after proving the importance of the invitation to prayer, finding a standard age can be a suitable ruler to measure the appropriate time for the invitation to prayer in children and teenagers.

In this research, the reasons for the importance of calling children to prayer have been examined from the perspective of Quran, Sunnah and scholars, and the necessity of calling children to prayer has been proven for parents and those involved in education.

In the second part, by examining the traditions of this chapter, the best age for inviting children and teenagers to prayer has been determined at the age of 6-7 years. Also, in some hadiths, the best age for calling to prayer has been introduced when the child understands God, prayer and his relationship with God, even at a very superficial level. Therefore, according to the differences between children in different eras and places, this rule is more accurate.
